Frank’s Backyard BBQ “The Sampler” $36.25

The Sampler includes a quarter pound of Brisket and Pulled Pork. A half-pound of Baby Back Ribs and a quarter pound of Burnt Ends. Also house made Pickles and Pickled Jalapenos and onion. And two sweet or sweet jalapeño mini cornbread. No substitution or sides included.

Bone in ribs, sold by the half slab, full slab, or any pound increment that are cut every two bones. Sauce can be put on or served on the side. (average slab weighs 1.75 – 2 pounds, slab cost approximately $34 – $39)

Frank’s Backyard BBQ

What began as Rob Schrum pursuing his passion for barbecuing has turned into a full-time focus. He and his wife, Patty Schrum, co-own the family business Frank’s Backyard BBQ in Cedar Lake.

“It came from cooking out in our backyard with our friends and neighbors. Everybody loved it and it blew up. Everybody was telling him how good it was”

Meats by the pound

Meats by the pound (serves 2 to 4 people per pound) include; Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Brisket, Burnt Ends, Pulled Ribs, Pork Belly and Smoked Chicken Wings. Pricing per pound is market price the week of the order.

Sides by the Half Pan

Sides by the half pan (serves 15 to 20 people per half pan) include; Vinegar Cole Slaw, Smokey Beans, Potato Salad, Mayo Cole Slaw, Franks Mac & Cheese, Smoked Cabbage, Smokey Garlic Potatoes, Southern Style Green Beans, Smoked Brussel Sprouts and Cheesy Spicy Corn.


On Site Fee

Includes transport of equipment and food (20 mile radius, $2.50 per additional mile). Set up and teardown of equipment, rental of chafers, sternos and pans, tables for service and table clothes. 50 – 150 people. Cost $350

On Site Attendant Fee

Buffet service of food: Choice of one or two hours. Sliced brisket requires a separate attendant. One hour with: two servers $80, three servers $120 and four servers $160. Two hours: two servers $160, three servers $240 and four servers $320.

Delivery Fee

Cedar Lake, St John, Crown Point & Lowell or within a 20 mile radius ($2.50 per additional mile). Cost $25

Chafer Rental

Includes chafer, pans and sternos (four hour burn time). Each chafer holds two half pans of food. (Must be returned by 11:00 am the next business day.) Cost $50 each.

Chafer Set

Includes one wire rack, full foil pan for water and two sternos (four hour burn time). Each chafer holds two half pans of food. Cost $20 each.
